The Empowered Outlook Foundation has been established to provide services and support to those impacted by sexual abuse, harassment, and other violent crimes. The goals of the foundation include:
- Carrying the Empowered Outlook message to individuals and groups in need, who otherwise would go unserved due to their inability to pay, geographic location, or other limiting factors.
- Creating a network of professionals in the legal, medical, and mental health fields to assist those impacted with needed services, regardless of their ability to pay (Through a combination of negotiated relationships and Foundation funds).
- Providing funding to other charitable organizations offering direct, monetary and non-monetary support for expenses either arising from these crimes, or related to securing the future safety of the victims, such as basic needs (food, clothing, shelter), relocation, or enhanced security (locks, alarm systems, cell phones)
- Organizing a community of volunteers prepared to offer non-monetary support to victims of these crimes and their families. While virtual support, such as social media and video conferencing will be a vital part of this, the Foundation will also focus on ‘human to human’ support where there is no substitute for an actual physical presence, such as disclosing to authorities, attending legal proceedings or therapy sessions.
