Our Mission
Empowered Outlook is focused on helping those impacted by sexual abuse, harassment, and other violent crimes to live amazing lives, by shedding the burdens of guilt, shame, and fear. Founded on a proven combination of coaching, training, and community, our programs take aim at one of the deepest and most lasting wounds suffered by so many: Diminished self-confidence. By building and rebuilding confidence, we believe that we can make real change in lives, cultures, corporations and communities, by empowering individuals to step out and expand their comfort zones, stand up for each other, and stop living in darkness.
Empowered Self
Confidence is defined as a feeling or belief that you can rely on someone or something; a firm trust. Understandably, trust is often one of the many things shattered for victims of sexual abuse, harassment, or other violent crimes. Oftentimes, the perpetrator is someone they knew, and therefore had some level of trust in, but even if the perpetrator was a stranger, there was a general trust in society that was violated. For many victims, these trust issues will spread to friends, family, coworkers, the legal system, and beyond…

While change dictates that all relationships are fluid and sometimes volatile, this is many times more so in relationships where one or both partners are victims of sexual abuse, harassment or other violent crimes. The ups and downs tend to be much greater, and as such, much more likely to seem insurmountable. These crimes attack the very foundations of life. Empowered Outlook Confident Community Summits bring the power of our proven coaching, training and community to groups of 20-200+. We start by establishing a ‘safe space’, physically, mentally and emotionally, where attendees can feel comfortable at whatever point they are on their journey from survive to thrive. While most people believe that they know what sexual harassment is, many don’t truly comprehend how far the problem extends. Sexual harassment occurs anytime conduct of a sexual nature interferes with the work performance of others, or creates an intimidating, hostile work environment. This means that it is not just something a man does to a woman, as perpetrators can be of either sex, as can the victims, and they can be of the same or opposite sex to each other.
